The summer season provides an excellent opportunity to introduce new family activities. Engaging in such activities can enhance communication skills, strengthen relationships, and promote various social skills among family members. Below are two activities designed for you and your family to enjoy together:

Conversation Cards

Busy schedules can often limit the quality and depth of communication between parents and children beyond everyday basics. Conversation Cards provide an engaging way for families to connect by sharing interests, feelings, and ideas. Each family member writes down a topic or question they would like to discuss on an index card, or you can purchase pre-made conversation cards. These cards can then be used to spark conversations during dinner or family night, promoting open communication and stronger bonds.

Stress Balls

Creating stress balls is a fun and therapeutic family activity that encourages relaxation and emotional regulation. You can easily make stress balls using common household items such as flour, rice, or playdough. This activity allows parents to model healthy coping strategies for managing frustration.
